Your grinder matters more than most beginners expect, arguably more than the machine itself. If your grind is inconsistent, your coffee will taste different every day even if you do everything else exactly the same. The William exists to remove that variable.
It uses large grinding discs (Lelit call these burrs) set flat against each other, which grind evenly and don’t build up much heat, so your beans keep more of their flavour. You adjust the grind with a dial that moves in incredibly small steps, which sounds technical, but in practice just means you can nudge your grind slightly finer or coarser without big jumps, which is exactly what you need when you open a new bag of beans and it needs a small tweak to taste right.
It grinds straight into your portafilter (the handle that locks into your machine), no separate container to empty out, and you can set it to stop automatically after a set time so you get the same dose every time you press the button. It’s built to sit next to any of the Lelit machines above and just quietly do its job well. And if it ever needs attention, we’re Adelaide’s authorised Lelit repair and warranty centre, and buying it from us includes a 2 year warranty with labour included.
