Coffee Machine Retailer & Authorised Service Centre
Your machine is back where it belongs. And so is your morning coffee.
Thanks for trusting us! It means a lot to a family business like ours.
When your machine came in, one of our technicians took ownership of it. Diagnosed it, worked through it, and made sure it left in the best shape possible. The name on your card is the person who looked after yours.
If you ever have a question about the work, just call us and ask for them directly.
We’re a small family business. Word of mouth is still how we grow and an honest Google review from our customers means more to us than any ad. If you’re happy with the service, it takes less than a minute and it helps other Adelaide coffee lovers find someone they can trust.
4.9 stars · 11,000+ machines serviced · SA’s largest coffee machine service centre
These are the habits that make the biggest difference between services. They don’t take long — but skipping them is usually what brings a machine back to us earlier than it should.
Flush and wipe the group head
Before your first shot, run a quick burst of water through the group head to clear any grounds from the day before. Then wipe the shower screen with a damp cloth or group head brush. Coffee oils go rancid fast and find their way back into your next shot before you even notice.
Look after your steam wand
Purge it before and after every use. Wipe it down immediately with a dedicated cloth — never let milk dry on the metal. Dried milk is harder to remove than you’d think and it affects every texture you pull from that point on.
Empty the drip tray
It sounds minor. It isn’t. A drip tray left sitting grows mould, attracts fruit flies, and starts to smell. Rinse it with warm soapy water daily. Thirty seconds.
Filter your water
This one has the biggest long-term impact and most people underestimate it. Poor water quality is one of the leading causes of internal machine damage we see. You want water between 35–85 ppm of hardness — soft enough to prevent scale, with just enough mineral content to protect your boiler and bring out flavour. Standard home filters remove taste, not hardness. Ask us in-store about the right solution for your machine.
Backflush with espresso machine cleaner
Blind basket, a dose of espresso machine cleaning like Cafetto EVO, one cycle. Coffee oils build up inside the valves and pipes faster than you’d think, and they affect your shot before you taste the difference. Once a week if you’re pulling daily shots. Every couple of weeks if you’re a weekend drinker.
Soak your removable parts
Take out the shower screen and portafilter baskets and soak them overnight in a small amount of espresso machine cleaning and hot water. It breaks down the stubborn oily residue that a backflush alone doesn’t reach. Your shots will thank you.
Clean the water reservoir
Even filtered water leaves a film over time. Empty the tank, scrub it with soapy water, let it dry fully before refilling. A clean tank means clean water means better coffee and a healthier machine.
Call us or drop in — walk-ins always welcome.
The right products make home espresso machine maintenance simple. These are the ones we recommend to every prosumer customer — and stock in-store at Keswick.
Prosumer machines — ECM, Rocket, and machines like yours — are built to last decades. But they need regular attention to perform the way they should. Most are happiest on a 12 month service cycle depending on use.
Your next service date is on your card. When the time comes, just bring it in. No booking needed — walk-ins always welcome. And if you’re not sure whether it’s time, bring it in anyway. We’re always happy to take a look.
Coffee Complex has been in Keswick since 2009. Domenic started it. Anthony runs it now alongside the rest of our team. Over 11,000 machines serviced, a 4.9-star Google rating — and still the same family behind the counter.
We share care tips, behind-the-scenes workshop moments, and the occasional very good espresso on our socials. It’s a small community of people who take their coffee seriously without taking themselves too seriously. We’d love to have you in it.
No noise. Just useful stuff — maintenance reminders, new products worth knowing about, and the occasional deal for customers who’ve been with us a while.
